Clara on the Greeks, Brits, Wesleyans, and Sesame Street

This evening I sent Clara to the hallway to pick out a bedtime book from the shelf. She returned with the Greek New Testament.

Me: "What's this book about, Clara?"
Clara: "Jesus and me."
Me: "Oh. Would you like to pick out another book?"
Clara: "Uh-huh."

Clara runs into the hallway and returns with The Book of Common Prayer.

Me: "What's this book about, Clara?"
Clara: "Jesus and Mama and Daddy."
Me: "Oh. Would you like to pick out another book?"
Clara: "Uh-huh."

Clara runs into the hallway and returns with The Wesleyan Church Discipline.

Me: "What's this book about, Clara?"
Clara: "Once upon a time a baby went--Wait! There no pictures."

We finally settled on Cookie Monster's Counting Book.
